SELF-DRIVE HOLIDAYS:
The self-drive holidays are ideal for the very independent traveller, for the families with small children, for the tourist who might have family or relatives in Southern Africa or for people who like to set their own pace for their vacation in Africa.
We shall rent the car to you, offering you UNLIMITED mileage, SUPERCOVER insurance with a reduced excess responsibility (OR as most of our clients prefer - MAXIMUM INSURANCE COVER) and in South Africa we also can offer you a FREE Mobile phone rental with a local number. We have over 60 branches for our car rental division and all our vehicles are less than a year old, so you shall have a trouble free driving holiday.
We offer a FREE accommodation booking service - booking all your accommodation, as we do NOT mark up the public prices of the various hotels, guesthouses, lodges that we support. SCHEDULED SMALL GROUP SAFARIS:
Often our international clients are on a brief holiday to Southern Africa and they want to see many different attractive and exciting destinations in the short period they have, and then the scheduled small group safaris are ideal for you. These safaris depart from designated airports or hotels on certain dates early in the morning – and they follow popular and well-researched and successful routes, taking in the major attractions during the day and then overnighting at great establishments that offer excellent value-for-money. They end in the late afternoon or evening in the major cities. It is best to overnight near the start of the tour the previous night and not to book onward flights until the day after the tour ends. The size of the group will range from 6 to 15 participants and transport will vary from a minibus to a custom-built safari vehicle. These small group safaris are ideal for individual travellers or couples and NOT suitable for children under 12 years. BUDGET OVERLAND SAFARIS:
These popular camping safaris are aimed at the 18 to 35 year old adventurous traveller. To venture into the Bundu is an exciting safari experience in Africa. Children cannot be accommodated on these overland safaris, but older people who are young at heart and physically fit, are welcome to join on a budget camping overland trip through Southern Africa. The overland safaris are participating camping safaris into the bundu and travelling around like a Nomad, where everybody joins in the camp chores, from cooking, packing, putting up camp and cleaning – the greater your participation, the greater the fun and enjoyment for the group. Ideal for single travellers, couples or groups of friends – on a small budget. For teh Intrepid traveller, often the route shall be off the beaten track, especially when travelling through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mocambique, Tanzania or Kenya. In South Africa, often budget hutted or lodge accommodation is used, especially during our cooler winter months. You will need to bring or hire a sleeping bag, and everything else is supplied. It is essential to arrive at the designated departure point the day prior to the start and onward journeys should only be booked following the last day of the safari. Participants on the budget overland safaris are required to come with an open mind and be understanding & patient with the African time system! UPMARKET FLYING SAFARIS:
These are the most exciting safaris on offer – and you cover a tremendous amount of Southern Africa in a short time. We have planes based in all the major cities – and we can of course always fly to virtually any airstrip and start your flying safari through Southern Africa at your convenience. You can either have your own plane and pilot to remain with you for the duration of your safari, or we can fly you from one lodge to the next with a few days of enjoyment at each establishment in between flights. The Flying Safaris are quicker, more scenic and very safe. In certain areas, like Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, we have shuttle flights between various lodges, and this saves you, the upmarket tourist a lot of money and time for your flying-safari holiday in Africa.
