MILIMANI GAME SANCTUARY
Milimani Game Sanctuary is north of Mkuze in northern KwaZulu Natal. This privately owned and managed lodge is home to Ken and Lois Kuhle and the many orphaned and rehabilitated animals that have been released back into the wild. Close encounters with rescued animals prior to release create a special relationship between man and beast.
Milimani is 10,000 acres of pristine bushveld and hosts many antelope species, small predators and rhino. It is prime birding country and the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
There are 9 luxury en-suite, air conditioned double rooms, all uniquely furnished with furniture made on site. This intimate setting ensures personalised service, fine cuisine complemented by an extensive wine list, with idyllic settings for sundowners and bush dinners. Milimani nestles in the Rooirante Range and the views from the higher points are breathtaking.
Milimani is easily accessible by air with a 1.1km private airstrip situated close to the lodge.
This Big Five Game Reserve is beautifully situated in Northern Zululand in the South African province of KwaZulu Natal and near to the southern border or Swaziland. Dominated by the Slembe and Mahlangosi mountains, the reserve is host to a tremendous diversity of flora and fauna including: lion, elephant, white rhino, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, hippo, crocodile, and an impressive quantity and variety of plains game. A wealth of birdlife provides hours of interest for the keen birder!
Whilst the reserve is situated within an unique eco-environment ranging from montane grassland, wetland to lowveld bushveld, the Mkuze Falls Lodge is located along the northern bank of the Mkuze river, overlooking the spectacular Mkuze waterfall and the Mkuze Falls Tented Lodge is built upstream on the wide Mkuze River. Mkuze Falls is strategically located on the Krugerpark-Swaziland-Durban route and is one of only two privately owned Game Reserves in the region that have the "Big 5". "Bush Rushhours" are unknown in the 8500 hectare reserve. Both walking and open-vehicle safaris are conducted by experienced rangers and trackers who will provide you with in-depth understanding and knowledge of the fauna and flora of the region.
Mkuze Falls Lodge features eight luxuriously appointed Thatched Chalets and one Safari Suite accommodating eighteen guests in utmost comfort and style. Every room has secluded plungepool and outside shower, completely private and shielded from the adjacent accommodation by thick indigenous vegetation and is appointed with: Viewing deck, minibar, telephone, safe, fan, air-conditioning, mosquito net, en-suite facilities, plunge pool, outside shower.
A fully equipped, air-conditioned conference room caters for eighteen delegates.
The Mkuze Falls Tented Lodge offers an adventurous experience in five "Hemmingway-style" East-African Safari Tents. Each tent is beautifully decorated, giving one a sense of being in the bush in comfort. Enjoy the en-suite bathroom in the true romantic style of an era gone by. These rooms have a viewing deck, mini bar, safe, overhead fan, air-conditioning and mosquito net.
The lodge has its own private airstrip and helipad.

SHAYAMOYA GAME & FISHING LODGE
From the wide wooden deck at the heart of Shayamoya, you look out across the Pongolapoort Lake (also known as Jozini), the Lebombo Mountains and the Phongolo Nature Reserve. Vast stretches of silver water, charcoal-coloured mountains, apricot sunsets.. this is the stuff of romantic lakeside dreams.
Along with a deeply sexy lake, you've also got over 10 000 hectares of unspoilt bush on your doorstep, which means a variety of activities are offered – tiger fishing, river safaris, game drives, elephant monitoring, canoeing, walks and bass fishing and of course, gentle saunters to the bar. Experience a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where the Blevin family, who own and manage the lodge, look forward to welcoming you to their bush paradise.
